Bali Regional Secretary Dewa Indra Attends the Opening of the Bali International Airshow 2024

BADUNG, Balitopnews.com - Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bali Province, Dewa Made Indra, attended the opening of the Bali International Airshow 2024 exhibition at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Badung Regency, on Wednesday (September 18, 2024).
This event showcases various superior innovations in Indonesian aviation and air defense, as well as providing an exclusive platform for participants to showcase products, services and expertise to the industrial market, professionals and global influencers. BIAS 2024 was opened directly by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and was also attended by the Indonesian Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi.
In his speech, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries stated that this event would be the beginning of an air exhibition in Indonesia. “Bali is the perfect location for this historic moment. This event will be held regularly, and this airshow will not only be held in Bali, but also in other areas. "This plan is in line with Indonesia's position as the largest archipelagic country in the world, so air transportation is a very important sector," said the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. With this air exhibition, Luhut also emphasized the government's commitment not only to the aviation industry, but also to tourism areas throughout Indonesia. "We want to continue this commitment. We are also ready to give our best to attract more tourists to Indonesia. We want to see quality tourism, not only in terms of the number of tourists, but also in terms of quality," he said. "Indonesia is now increasingly open, more efficient, and continues to strive to minimize corruption," he added.
BIAS 2024 at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport will take place on 18–21 September 2024 and is projected to become a future aviation center for countries in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. The hope is that BIAS can increase investment and become a venue for collaboration for industry players in Indonesia. Apart from that, this is supported by the potential for connectivity, advantages in terms of cost, and the quality of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operation) in Indonesia. BIAS 2024 was attended by 6,000 participants or delegates from 100 aviation sector stakeholders from 35 countries, as well as government representatives from regional countries and ministers from friendly countries. Various leading companies will participate in this event, such as Airbus, Bell Helicopters, Boeing, Brahmos, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Garuda Indonesia, Leonardo, Lion Air, MBDA, PT DI, Textron Aviation, and Thales.
Bali Airshow 2024 also showcases various static air transportation displays. Apart from static displays, at the airshow which is being held again after the last time in 1996, there will also be flying displays from Indonesia's proud aerobatic teams, namely the Jupiter Aerobatic Team and the Neptunus Aerobatic Team.
